Ritual Details

Pooja Vidhi (Ritual Procedure)

    Share the known ancestor names, gotra, death tithi and family circumstances privately with the Acharya.
  • 2
    Take sankalp and perform Ganesh, Kalash and required deity worship.
  • 3
    Offer tarpan and remembrance according to eligibility and local family tradition.
  • 4
    Conduct the prescribed Pitru Shanti havan with black sesame, ghee and approved offerings.
  • 5
    Complete purnahuti, dakshina, food/daan or cow-feeding where prescribed.

Mantra: Om

  • Kusha grass, black sesame and clean water
  • Havan kund, samidha, ghee and havan samagri
  • White cloth, flowers, rice and seasonal fruits
  • Pind materials only if that rite is included
  • Daan and meal items confirmed by the priest
