History
Ayodhya is regarded as the birthplace of Lord Rama. Historical accounts describe an ancient temple at the site that was demolished in 1528 CE by Mir Baqi under Babur, after which Hindus continued to worship there for centuries. Idols of Ram Lalla appeared at the site in 1949, and the present Ram Mandir was consecrated (Pran Pratishtha) in January 2024.

How to Do Darshan
General darshan is usually open 7:00–11:30 AM and 2:00–7:00 PM, and entry is free for all devotees. Dress modestly, covering shoulders and knees.
