Best Tithi

Purnima (full moon) is most auspicious; Ekadashi is also commonly chosen. Evening is the preferred time of day.

Pooja Vidhi (Ritual Procedure)

    Prepare a clean altar and take sankalp with the devotee name, gotra and purpose.
  • 2
    Perform Ganesh Puja, Kalash Sthapana and worship of the Navagraha and dikpalas as directed.

    Invoke Shri Satyanarayan and offer Shodashopachar worship with tulsi, flowers, fruits and naivedya.
  • 4
    Listen to all five chapters of the Satyanarayan Vrat Katha without leaving midway.

    Conclude with aarti, katha-prasad distribution and blessings; havan is included when selected by the Acharya.

  • Do not treat the ritual as a guaranteed commercial or medical result.
