Ritual Details

Pooja Vidhi (Ritual Procedure)

    Take sankalp and perform Ganesh, Kalash and Devi worship.
  • 2
    Complete the prescribed preliminary purification, kavach, argala and kilak only as directed by the Acharya.
  • 3
    Recite the Durga Saptashati/Devi Mahatmyam, comprising 13 chapters and 700 verses.
  • 4
    Maintain the chapter order and pronunciation; pauses and repetitions follow the selected paddhati.
  • 5
    Conclude with kshama-prarthana, aarti and prasad; homa is separate unless included.
